Biography/Artist Statement

My work is a lifelong act of making the inner world visible—expression through symbols of identity, memory, endurance, and transformation.

I render the unseen with clarity so it feels undeniable, not imagined.

BIO

Susan Frazier is an artist whose work transforms inner emotional states into tangible visual form.

Her paintings use surreal elements as metaphor, rendered with clarity to feel real and present.

Educated at Chouinard Art Institute and California Institute of the Arts, she studied under Emerson Woelffer and was mentored by Judy Chicago and Miriam Schapiro during the Womanhouse project.

After a career as a technical illustrator and writer, she returned to painting to fully develop her personal visual language.

She works from her studio in Rancho Mirage, California
